Joki
Joki is a lamp that ingeniously combines two elements. It utilizes so-called
air cushions—originally designed as packaging material—that are illuminated from
within by a lightchain. This packaging material diffuses the light, creating a
soft and pleasant glow. The air cushions are held upright by a steamer, a utensil
typically used in Asian cuisine. This not only provides the lamp with a stable base
but also imbues it with an atmospheric elegance. The lamp takes its name "Joki" from the
Japanese word for "steam," as the design evokes the impression of a steamer lid being
gently lifted by rising steam.
